With proper use and care, your Handcrafted Cutting Board will last for generations to come. There are only a few things to keep in mind when using your board.
- Your new board has been specially treated with a formula of food grade beeswax and mineral oil.
- The board is made from wood, which will have natural grain and sometimes knots and even minute cracks that give it its natural beauty. These are not defects but rather the boards character.
- Boards should NEVER be cleaned in the dishwasher or submerged/soaked in water.
- To clean your board, simply wipe it with a sponge or rag and mild soap & water. Dry it with a towel.
- Every 6 months, apply a coat of cutting board/butcher block cleaner. It will take out the scratches from knife marks and seal and condition the wood. 
- There are several products available at the local big box hardware stores or on Amazon. we recommend Howard Butcher Block Conditioner.
